Rethinking Stone, Redefining the Future of Building Skins

While much of the construction industry continues to operate within traditional material frameworks, PHOMI Holding is introducing a new path forward.

At the 26th China Xiamen International Stone Fair, PHOMI presents two key innovations — eCovering 4.0 (Zero-Carbon Surface) and the eCovering Curtain Series — demonstrating how material technology can reshape both the lifecycle of stone and the possibilities of the building façade.

Through four core innovations — low-carbon materials, pioneering aesthetics, integrated photovoltaic technology, and cost efficiency — PHOMI is driving a new evolution in architectural surfaces.

eCovering 4.0 | Stone Reborn Through Circular Materials

While the industry remains focused on competition for natural quarry resources, PHOMI eCovering 4.0 follows a fundamentally different path.

Instead of relying on finite mineral extraction, it begins with inorganic solid waste, transforming construction residues and urban mineral by-products into architectural surfaces through low-temperature processing and circular regeneration.

The result is a material that redefines the carbon footprint of stone while maintaining the performance required for modern building envelopes, including A-grade fire resistance, exceptional durability, and lightweight structural performance.

From waste to surface, from consumption to circularity, eCovering 4.0 represents a new chapter in the evolution of stone materials.

eCovering Curtain Series | When Stone Meets Energy and Interaction

While many existing solutions compromise either aesthetics or functionality — attaching photovoltaic modules to stone or replacing stone surfaces with electronic displays — PHOMI takes a different approach.

The eCovering Curtain Series integrates photovoltaic capability and display functionality directly into architectural stone-like surfaces.

When stone begins to generate energy, building façades become both an extension of natural material texture and a source of clean energy.

When stone gains the ability to communicate imagery, façades evolve from static surfaces into interactive, narrative, and dynamic architectural interfaces.

Architecture no longer needs to sacrifice beauty for functionality.

Experience PHOMI Materials Firsthand

The PHOMI exhibition space features several hands-on experience zones designed to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of the technology behind the materials.

Raw Materials Display Zone
From construction waste and urban mineral tailings to finished eCovering surfaces, visitors can explore the full transformation journey behind PHOMI’s circular material system.

Material Comparison Zone
eCovering panels are displayed alongside traditional façade materials, highlighting advantages such as low carbon impact, lightweight construction, and flexibility for curved or complex architectural forms.

An on-site impact resistance experience area has attracted significant attention, allowing visitors to test the material’s durability firsthand.
One visitor remarked after testing:

“The product advantages are impressive. Beyond its multiple attributes, the impact resistance far exceeded my expectations.”
